Immigration & Cultural Considerations

Many human trafficking victims are foreign nationals, meaning they were not born in the United States, or have not naturalized as citizens. For many foreign nationals, there are immigration concerns such as having an expired visa or not having an immigration documentation. In these cases, it is important to know that the law sees them first and foremost as victims, and provides protections from them being deported. These individuals should be referred immediately to a competent immigration attorney.
